IT Hiring: You
If you've read through all the preceding principles/entries,
you have a better understanding of IT incompetence than anyone
in government, business or media. Still, the important points
to remember if
you are doing the IT hiring:
You should always ask for, and check, the IT
qualifications/credentials of those doing the actual IT work
(not frontmen); see
The
Most Important IT Credential: An IT Education. If they
won't tell you it is because they are IT incompetent —
if they weren't, they wouldn't hesitate to shout these
credentials at you.
You will have to pay more for IT competence, but it is well
worth it. See

Hiring: IT Competents Demand Greater Than
Supply.
Don't hire foreigners. See

I,
Dr. Duane
Thresher and
Apscitu
Inc., would be your absolute best choice for
IT services and
consulting. As discussed in
Who
Am I To Talk About IT Incompetence? Duane Thresher, PhD
and as my
Credentials show, I am
exceedingly well qualified. Further, I do the actual IT work;
I am not just the frontman for a bunch of cheaply-hired IT
incompetents. Moreover, I am an American citizen,
born and educated in the
U.S., and I only work for U.S. clients.
Finally, read through the IT Incompetents Hall Of Shame
(ITIHOS), which is introduced in the
next
entry. It makes a useful companion to LinkedIn, where
many IT incompetents hang themselves.
